ZEE5’s Kaafir Reminds Us Of The Celebrity Mothers Who Define #MotherGoals
The talk of not only the Web but also the B-town, ZEE5’s Kaafir has created a lot of buzz with its trailer. Starring Dia Mirza and Mohit Raina, Kaafir is the story of Kainaaz, a Pakistani mother who is held captive by Indian authorities for being a militant. On the other hand, there is Vedant, a journalist who struggles to unveil the truth of this mother to the entire country. To give justice to a daughter, who is too small to have the weight of two nations and their animosity resting on her tiny shoulders.
Kaafir is, to paraphrase one of their dialogues, a ‘human interest story’ that touches your heart; you can’t help but FEEL for Kainaaz and her daughter, a single mother who has to raise her kid in such strenuous circumstances. There are a zillion stories and songs on motherhood, and each one reminds you that being a mother is the greatest and the most underrated job in the world. Raising brats like us in this world, teaching them to be humane, is no easy feat. Kaafir will add another angle to the multifold nature of mothers.
