Drishyam Films’ Rammat Gammat to Premier at the 20th Mumbai Film Festival
Internationally acclaimed short film, Rammat Gammat, will be making its Indian premiere at the 20th Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival under the International Competition in children’s film category, Half Ticket. Among the 12 international short films in the category, Rammat Gammat is the only Indian short film to be featured.
Directed by Ajitpal Singh and produced by Drishyam Films, Rammat Gammat is a Gujrati language, complex story of two boys from a rural area, who have bonded over football. A pair of missing shoes creates a strain between them, exploring the complexities of vast divide caste and class creates and how it can affect even the innocent relationships like friendship. The 18-minute short film sheds light on the complexities between rich and poor, good and bad.
Rammat Gammat, starring Yash Patel, Shivam Math and Swati Das, has travelled through various international film festivals such as 64th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, where it won ‘Special Mention’ in International Children’s Film Competition, and then the Oscar qualifying 24th Palm Springs Short Fest.
The MAMI film festival will start from October 25th, lasting till November 1st.
