KJo Introduces Dharmatic, a Digital Division under Dharma
The Bollywood Beau KJo aka Karan Johar has set up to enter the web entertainment with Dharmatic Entertainment. The filmmaker and producer announced the news on his social media platforms yesterday, introducing the digital division of Dharma Productions.
Dharmatic will be jointly headed by Karan himself and Apoorva Mehta, CEO of Dharma. It will be now involved in creating content for the digital space, as reported by a source. The content will be handled by Somen Mishra, fiction head and Aneesha Baig, non-fiction head. Karan has shown considerable interest in the digital entertainment, with its exciting emerging content and thriving nature. This will be an exciting step for the web.

Karan Johar’s recent offering 2.0 (sequel to Robot), a sci-fi starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar came out in theatres today. The talk of the town though, has been Takht. The magnum opus is set to follow the battle between the Mughal princes Dara Shikoh and Aurangzeb, set to release in 2020. It will be starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar Ranveer Singh, and Vicky Kaushal.
