Rohit Pathak in Netflix India’s original horror series, ‘Ghoul’
Actor Rohit Pathak will be featuring in the upcoming Netflix series, ‘Ghoul’, the next Indian original web series after the successful launch and appreciation of its first Indian original Sacred Games.
Rohit Pathak has not only worked in the Bollywood film industry, but was also seen recently in the Tamil film Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, playing the role of the villain ‘Banne Singh’, that shot him to fame in the Tamil film industry.
The list of Bollywood films wherein Rohit has played roles includes his debut ‘Mitya’, ’Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ (with a small 33 seconds role), as well as films like Jannat 1 & 2, Mickey Virus, Raja Natwarlal, India’s Daughter, Khel Toh Ab Shuru Hoga, Gaon, and a yet-to-be-released film ‘Shooter, which stars actors like Randeep Hooda and Sunil Shetty. Rohit has also played roles in short films like That Sunday and Famous.
Rohit’s next, ‘Ghoul’, a Phantom Films, Ivanhoe Pictures and the renowned Blumhouse Productions project, is a horror web series by Netflix India, based on Arabic folklore, and stars Radhika Apte and Manav Kaul in the lead roles. Other than Radhika, Manav, and Rohit, the cast also features actors like Mahesh Balraj, Mallhar Goenka, and Ratnabali Bhattacharjee.
The story is set in a military center, a place where suspected terrorists are brought for interrogation (and at times, torture). Radhika Apte’s character Nida is the central character, praised for her loyalty. Manav is a military officer who brings a mysterious new prisoner to the centre. It becomes a fight for survival for these officers as the prisoner, who is not from this world, becomes the captive.
Rohit will also play an important role as Captain Lamba, Nida’s superior, in this three-episode series, that is expected to be released on Netflix on 24th August, 2018. The trailer of Ghoul is available to watch on YouTube.
