Salman Khan Ventures into the World of Web
Bollywood’s Bhaijaan, Salman Khan, is rumored to produce a web series under his banner SKF (Salman Khan Films), concentrating more on family and kids above the age of 4.
Juggling various projects such as producing and starring in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat, promoting his film LoveYatri, and hosting Big Boss, Salman is ready for his debut in the digital space as a producer with a children-centric show, for which he himself has penned a few ideas. A team of expert writers are set up to develop the scripts further. The word around is that he wants the show to be universally appealing, and an entertaining fare that families can sit around and watch together online.
After producing films such as Hero, Tubelight, Race 3, and the recent Loveyatri, this new venture into web industry marks a milestone for SKF. This adds up to the growing list of Bollywood directors and artists who had stepped into the web entertainment, the most prominent example being Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane’s Sacred Games starring Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte. The increasing audience and reach of digital platforms has attracted major players into the game.
