The Zoom Studios’ Next, Happily Ever After, to be about Millennial Dream Weddings
The Zoom Studios, the original content arm of Zoom, is gearing up for its next original web series, titled ‘Happily Ever After’, which promises to be an entertaining situational-comedy drama that will definitely resonate with millennials.
Happily Ever After revolves around the trials and tribulations that the millennials face as they go about planning their dream wedding, one that is sure to be replete with haphazard hiccups, galvanizing glitches, raving relatives, frenzied friends, tedious tasks, and all that comes in between to create the craziness that surrounds any wedding.
The show marks the web directorial debut of Navjot Gulati, who is also the director of the upcoming Bollywood rom-com, Jai Mummy Di. The web series, Happily Ever After, will be a situational comedy-drama, capturing the very essence of modern millennial relationships and exploring the reality of modern-day ‘wedding goals’ that the current generation has, and will be sprinkled with moments that the millennials are definitely going to relate to.
The Zoom Studios has roped in the talented Naveen Kasturia (Pitchers, Thinkistan) and Harshita Gaur (Sacred Games, Mirzapur) as the leading duo for the series. Other than Naveen and Harshita, the show also features names like Shivankit Singh Parihar (TVF Bachelors), Sanjay Bhatia (Drishyam) and Priti Srivastav (Hotel Mumbai) in pivotal roles. The shoot for the series has already commenced, and the sequence which was to be shot in Kumbhalgarh, Rajasthan, has been completed.
Happily Ever After, using comedy as its prime narrative will also showcase the various aspects of weddings behind its dazzling and beautiful surface. This new series will be the latest addition to The Zoom Studios’ growing repertoire of originals which includes names The Reunion, Imperfect, and Mom & Co., among others.
