Vir Das to perform two new live stand-up comedy specials

After Abroad Understanding, his first Netflix original special, Vir Das will be performing two new live stand-up specials along with the follow-up of Abroad Understanding. The premiere of Abroad Understanding in April 2017 made Vir Das the first stand-up comedian outside India to have an original special on Netflix.

Out of the first of the two fresh specials by Vir Das, the first one will be shot in San Francisco. His first original, Abroad Understanding was shot in both New York and New Delhi to cover the aspects of nationalism and globalism in the creative framing that Vir Das uses.

Das is not a fresher to acting. He has worked in a number of Bollywood films like Delhi Belly, Badmaash Company and Go Goa Gone. The news has it that Vir is all set for his upcoming action-dramedy series on ABC, Whiskey Cavalier. The series is written by David Hemingson, and Vir Das’s co-stars will be Scott Foley, Ana Ortiz, and Lauren Cohan.

Vir Das returned from a year of touring and performing in different cities. He performed his stand-up in 35 different cities in total. The first one from his two new specials will be filmed on July 14th at the Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, California. There is no news yet on whether his two new specials will be streamed on Netflix or not.
