Netflix’s Next Film, Yeh Ballet, Tells the Story of Two Boys and Their Dream of Ballet

After the much-hyped Ghost Stories, Netflix unveils the trailer of its next original film, Yeh Ballet, a story of two boys who dream of becoming something that is preposterous in the background they belong to- ballet dancers. The film promises a graceful story of their highs and lows, introducing some new faces.
Directed by Sooni Taraporevala, the feature is based off of the documentary short Sooni made in 2017 of the same name, inspired by true events. Yeh Ballet tells the story of Asif and Nishu, two boys from the slums with dance in their blood. One a hip-hoper and the other a somewhat celebrated dancer, both are introduced to ballet master Saul in a chance encounter, and hence starts their grueling yet graceful journey towards the peak that is ballet.
Produced by Roy Kapur Films, Yeh Ballet introduces Manish Chauhan and Achintya Bose in the lead, supported by Vijay Maurya, Danish Husain, Jim Sarbh, Kalyanee Mulay and Julian Sands, among others. With Ankur Tewari helming the music composition, and Shiamak Davar, Cindy Jourdain, and Vitthal Patil leading the choreography, Yeh Ballet sure seems to a promising watch. The film will premiere on Netflix on 21st February.
